As an established international institution, the Church of Canada is an instrument for positive change; It is a multicultural family that takes pride in connecting Canada and the world for the Kingdom of God. CoC is organized in neighbourhoods globally, where people come together to pray, challenge complex world issues, fight poverty and support each other spiritually. As such, this is the defining impetus to our motto “Out of many, one family, from sea to sea to shore, under the supremacy of God…and shall always be, with the help of God.”
The Church of Canada (CoC) is a gift from God; as such, Canada is reaching the world through Kingdom advancement; therefore, we invite your partnership to treasure this gift as we continue our pilgrimage together. This new covenant was called to care for the people and equip leaders for worldwide Kingdom building, through advancement, citizenship and acknowledgment of the unceded territories and people within all its formations.
Titus was commanded to appoint a plurality of elders in every city, and likewise, the government of the Church of Canada, has seen it biblical to answer that said call which is to set-apart clergies for service to the people in cities and town worldwide. A rich, innovative tradition upon which to build, CoC foster religious, spiritual and pastoral care in communities at home and abroad, regardless of religious affiliation, practice, and/or belief. People, ideas and resources are brought together to understand and advance issues, explore creative solutions and be a catalyst for long term change. It is an Ecclesiastical body that is committed to the success and growth of its members, creation and humanity globally. It creates and operates the Canadian International Pastoral Exchange Programs, the Canada Bereavement Trust, the Community Chaplain Branch and continues to support other programs beneficial to sustainability and community resilience while advancing its spiritual offerings, missions and purposes within and outside of Canada.
Where charity and love are found, God is there, therefore, CoC aims to use its position, to offer hope of inspiration to the next generation of worldwide citizens of the global Church of Canada, while eliminating systematic inequalities. We are a church on a mission and with humanity at its core focus, devoted to the welfare, inclusion and equality of all, where the object of poverty is no longer at the root of our society.
As a head body and one broad church, the government of the Church of Canada is a national and international mission and offers full covering for both the creation and planting of churches and provides credentialing and accreditations as well as ministerial learning and teaching programs through academic scholarship and partnerships. It further mobilizes resources for kingdom building and sustainable development projects for the advancement and operation of its missions, services and schools that complements its efforts for global spiritual, economic change and growth that enhance and empowers people to create generational wealth.
