We believe it is important to honour the experience of grief and find healthy ways to outwardly express it, known as mourning. As such, we provide compassionate and caring support during, and following, significant life events and incidents at no cost. We offer Individual, family or Group grief support, facilitated by specially trained volunteers. Our Chaplains, Clergies and Nurses are compassionate people who have chosen to serve you the people first. They participate as team members along with caregivers and healthcare providers.
Our branch members are trained professionals and volunteers in the Fundamentals of Hospice Palliative Care, bereavement support workers, social workers, psychologists, registered nurse and/or midwifery practitioners, personal support workers and they receive ongoing professional education, guidance, support and training from the branch coordinators, chief nursing officer and other subject matter expert.
